Mule deer hunting is on a draw basis only. Applications must be made in January. General tags are quite difficult to draw; limited entry tags are very difficult to draw. Sunrise prefers to guide hunters in the limited entry hunts, to increase success of taking a large buck. The seasons are generally in August-September for archery, and October-November for any weapon hunts. Please call for more information.
Successful applicants will hunt for a 24+" outside spread buck. Deer hunts are generally arranged to last for the entire season, beginning before opening day, until the client has successfully killed or until the end of the season. We usually operate out of a camp for deer hunts to reduce travel time. We have 50% plus success rate for at least a 24" spread buck.
